Descent Calc is a simple calculator used to calculate a descent.
The calculator will calculate your time and distance to descend by entering the following factors:
* Speed (either ground speed or true air speed coupled with headwind/tailwind component)
* Feet per minute
* Start altitude
* End altitude
Consequently, by telling the calculator how many miles you have to descend, it will tell you the required vertical speed.
DescentCalc also features a slider bar that allows you to set various fields easily, rather than typing with the key pad (although you can use the keypad on all fields for precise entry of values).
